The most frightening disease in the world re-emerged in America

Plague, the world's most feared disease, has killed about 50 million people in the Middle Ages who reappeared in Arizona, USA.

The New York Daily News reported that health officials in Arizona's two counties have confirmed that local fleas carry plague.

Navajo County health officials have issued warnings about fleas tested positive for bubonic plague. A week earlier, neighboring Coconino seeds also found fleas on dog squirrels also carrying this deadly plague.

Most of the plague cases in this country occur in the western states.

The US Centers for Disease Control said that most of the plague cases in the country occur in western states like New Mexico, Arizona, Southern Colorado, California, Southern Oregon and Far West Nevada.

Although the disease is difficult to spread due to the development of medical technology, this information also raises concerns. Usually people with bubonic plague get bitten or exposed to infected rodents or pets exposed to infected fleas.

Plague symptoms include fever, chills, headache, muscle aches and weakness, usually appearing within 2-6 days. This disease can be treated with antibiotics. However, if unchecked, the disease can spread, causing death.

This year, this is not the first time this disease has flared up. In June, two people were confirmed plague in New Mexico.

The biggest outbreak of plague in the United States occurred nearly a century ago. At that time, within two weeks, 30 people died in Los Angeles.
