The MRO explorer satellite goes into Mars orbit
Satellite Mars explorer Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) of the US Space Agency (NASA) successfully went into orbit on Red Planet at noon 10-3.
The MRO will carry out a two-year mission to find safe landing points for future missions as well as to find evidence that water once flowed on the planet's surface. It will also monitor the surface (dust, water, temperature .) and Mars's atmosphere in unprecedented detail.
Launched on August 12, 2005, the MRO is equipped with a $ 31 million camera system that captures sharp images of small objects like a coffee table on Mars.
