The mysterious disease makes a 10-month-old boy as heavy as a 9-year-old

Just 10 months old, Luis Manuel Gonzales (Mexico) weighs 28kg, making medicine impossible to explain.

On the outside, no one thought Luis Manuel Gonzale s (Mexico) was 10 months old. Possessing an unusually large body, the baby became a disease that attracted the attention of medicine worldwide.

According to the New York Post, at birth, Luis weighed 3.6kg. Over time, boys grew fat and incomprehensible, and two months later they were up to 10 kg. At 10 months of age, the weight of Luis reached 28 kg, equal to a 9-year-old child.

Family struggling to take care of Luis. Luis's father is Mario, a healthy man who struggles every time he holds his son.

Currently, four times a week, Luis is taken to a hospital on a cart for a checkup. Local doctors initially assumed that the child had Prader-Willi syndrome due to hereditary genes, so he always felt hungry and needed to eat a lot. However, this hypothesis was quickly eliminated because Luis never asked for food. The amount of baby food absorbed is only equivalent to that of children of the same age.

Dr. Silvia Orozco, a surgeon and dietitian, said that Luis's condition appeared because the mother's lack of nutrients during pregnancy caused her metabolic glands to function incorrectly.

If Dr. Orozco's inference is correct, Luis could be intervened with hormone injections. However, the cost of injecting hormones is too expensive, costing 551 USD per month and nearly three times the amount of 197 USD father Luis earned.

Now, while waiting for the final diagnosis, the Gonzales family called for community support in the hope that Luis would return to normal someday.
