The new Trojan bypasses the virtual keyboard face

Security researchers have discovered a new type of Trojan keylogger that captures not only keyboard operations but also mouse operations.

PWSteal-Bancos-Q trojan is programmed with the goal of attacking customers of online banking and financial institutions - mainly in Brazil. However, PC Tools - an Australian security firm - warns other variants of the virus could be created to attack other online financial sites around the globe.

Besides the ability to record keystrokes, PWSteal-Bancos-Q trojan also has the ability to record user clicks and then send this information via FTP to the author. This is the technique to bypass the use of online keyboards of online banks against the impact of keyloggers.

The practical effect of the mouse manipulation technique is still an unspecified thing. However, the emergence of this new technology has shown that malware authors are increasingly developing new techniques against security solutions.
