Panasonic has introduced a phone with only 11.4 mm - considered the thinnest of W-CDMA series. NEC also launched the product with the same thickness. Samsung K3 becomes the slimmest MP3 player in the world.

Panasonic P703i is made of stainless steel with a luxurious design. This 98-g product is equipped with a 260,000-color 2.2-inch TFT screen and a 0.4-inch monochrome sub-screen. In addition, the P703 has a microSD card slot, a 1.3 megapixel external camera and a 110 kpixel internal camera.

Meanwhile, the device operating in 3G W-CDMA network called NEC N703, supplied by Japanese telecommunications company NTT DoCoMo, is only 11.4 mm. The product is equipped with LED indicator tool instead of external display. N703 weighs 90 g, 2.3 inch screen, microSD card slot, 1.3 megapixel main camera and VGA secondary camera.

South Korean electronics firm Samsung has officially introduced a 6.8 mm thin music player. Samsung K3 has a 1.8-inch OLED screen that supports JPEG images. The product is also compatible with MP3, WMA, DRM10 formats. The device can operate continuously for 25 hours and is released with three versions of 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB.
