The North is about to welcome a new cold spell, temperatures will drop sharply

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, due to the influence of strengthening cold air, the Northeast and North Central regions will have light rain, drizzle and scattered fog on the night and morning of February 28, and the weather will be cold; especially in the Northeast, the weather will be very cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold.

In the Northwest, there will be rain in some places, early morning there will be fog in some places, in Lai Chau and Dien Bien, it will be sunny in the afternoon, cold at night and in the morning.

The lowest temperature in the plains is commonly from 11-14 degrees, in the mountains from 8-11 degrees, in the high mountains it is below 7 degrees in some places.

Hanoi weather today, night and morning there is light rain, drizzle and fog. Northeast wind level 2-3. Cold weather. Temperature from 12-18 degrees.

From Quang Binh to Khanh Hoa, there will be scattered showers. In the North, it will be cold at night and early morning.

Other areas, no rain at night, sunny during the day; only the Southeast region has hot weather.

On February 29 , the North will maintain foggy weather in the morning, drizzle, less rain in the afternoon, cold weather, but temperature will increase by 2-3 degrees compared to today.

It is forecasted that from March 1-2 , the North will receive another strong cold spell, the temperature in the North will drop to the threshold of severe cold (average daily temperature below 15 degrees), mountainous areas will have severe cold (average daily temperature below 13 degrees) with light rain and drizzle, increasing the feeling of cold.

During these two days, Hanoi is very cold, the temperature during the day ranges from 13-16 degrees, the sky is cloudy, with light rain.

The cold spell in early March is considered quite rare . However, according to meteorological experts, from 1991 to now, the number of severe cold spells in the second half of February has occurred in 13 years, accounting for a frequency of 40%, so this year's weather phenomenon is not unusual.
