According to the Board of Directors of Tram Chim National Park, Dong Thap province, the number of cranes in the garden area this year is only about 100, equal to 1/8 compared to 10 years ago.

According to scientists, the environment and ecosystems in these places are changing at a rapid rate, the main reason is affecting the return of the crane.

With the current reality, scientists warn, this precious bird may be extinct in the Mekong Delta.

The Sarus Crane, also known as the ancient cranes , has the scientific name Grus antigone, is a rare bird species in the Red Book of Vietnam and the world. In flying birds, Sarus Crane is the tallest species.
