The ozone layer is gradually recovering
On August 18, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) said the Earth's ozone layer is recovering after decades of destruction but at a slow pace. and will be completed 5 to 15 years later than expected.
Experts from the two organizations say it is not until 2049 that the large ozone layer covering Europe, North America and Asia in the hemisphere of North and South Australia, Latin America and Africa can return to the previous level. in 1980, five years later than expected by experts mentioned in the 2002 scientific report, and the ozone layer holes in the Antarctic would only be " patched" in 2065, slowly. 15 years from the original estimate.
