The planet lacks an unsuitable magnetic field for life

Some planets that are many times more massive than the Earth outside the solar system cannot survive because there is no magnetic field.

The report of scientists from the Institute of Mineral Research and Physical Condensation (France) shows that some planets of stone structure with many times the weight of Earth outside the solar system cannot exist. The life due to the lack of the most important feature is the magnetic field.

Scientists believe that some planets including Earth exist from magnetic fields because they have molten iron core parts.

However, research by scientists from the Institute of Mineral Research and Physical Condensation shows that the number of extrasolar planets known to humans has exceeded 400.

Among these planets, a few dozen planets have the same environment as the Earth, but the size is many times larger than Earth. These planets are called " super-Earths ," their cores are usually solid-state so they do not have magnetic fields.

Scientists say that because there is no magnetic field, these planets will be exposed to harmful radiation. Moreover, their atmosphere will encounter the destruction of particles emitted by the surrounding planets. Therefore, life is very difficult to exist in these planets.

However, scientists also said it is still too early to confirm that " super-Earth " does not exist molten iron core and magnetic fields. Most likely inside the " super-class Earth " exists very high temperatures enough to make the element of iron melt.
