The pyramid is older than Giza

Archaeologists have discovered a terraced pyramid dating to 4,600 years near the city of Edfu of Egypt, built decades before the great pyramid at Giza.

According to AFP, this is the seventh sermon to be classified as 'rough' that has been discovered, all built before the era of the more famous pyramids at Giza.

The fortified ladder pyramids have been found in many places in Egypt, and are almost uniform in shape, according to the team leader of the archaeological project, Gregory Marouard of the University of Chicago (USA).

The ladder of self-rule is not used for the royal royal burial, and does not contain underground chambers like pyramids at Giza.

The use of these pyramids is still controversial, although archaeologists have speculated that they can serve as monuments of Egyptian royal members.

The excavation results showed that the pyramid at Edfu had been abandoned 50 years after it was built, probably because the authorities at that time wanted to focus their attention on the pyramids at Giza.
