Unesco's Scientific, Educational and Cultural Organization has recognized Memphis & Population Ruins Pyramid from Giza to Dahshur of Egypt is the World Cultural Heritage in 1979.

Archaeologists have discovered a terraced pyramid dating to 4,600 years near the city of Edfu of Egypt, built decades before the great pyramid at Giza.
