The beer called Line is the result of a tie between a company that wants to make algae a dietary supplement and a craft brewery.

The craft brewery decided to use spirulina to create a different product after trying many times to find a way to make its drink more special.

The beer's blue color is due to spirulina, a type of algae grown in northern France. The component of spirulina that produces the blue color called phycocyanin is added in the right dosage and at the right stage in the brewing process.

Blue beer receives a lot of attention from people.

Mathilde Vanmansart, a brewery employee who tasted the new beer for the first time, described the blue beer as having a light, aromatic and fruity aroma.

Xavier Delannoy, whose farm supplies spirulina, said that after a number of tests the brewery has found a blend that appeals to customers, easily conquering the most demanding guests.

From October to December 2021, the factory has sold about 1,500 bottles of green beer and is currently preparing to increase production to meet demand.

Previously, in Japan, a brewery once released an unusual blue beer with ingredients made from meltwater from icebergs and gardenia. The plant is mainly used in the food industry. Japanese blue beer has a fruity taste that is easy to drink, less bitter, and even those who do not like to drink beer can enjoy it.
