The only specimen of this plant was found in Mexico in 1985, but since then no one has seen it, until recently, George Yatskievych and a colleague found it in a pine oak forest in the mountains of Mexico. .
This exotic tree, first named, is not a beautiful flower. The stalks are large, coarse, golden brown and have a dense bunch of pine cones on the top.
However, with its discoverer, this plant is "strange and beautiful".
This plant was discovered in 1985, however, botanists do not recognize it because when pressed dry, it becomes discolored and damaged structure, like other parasitic plants.
