The teeth of tyrannical dinosaurs confuse the scientific world
A series of small holes in the teeth of the planet's largest tyrant dinosaur is still a big question for researchers.
The teeth of the small hole are an unusual feature of the fossil skeleton of the world's largest tyrant dinosaur named Sue and so far paleontologists have not been able to give a reasonable explanation, according to International Business. Times.

With a length of 12.3 meters and a height of 3.7 meters, Sue is truly a scary monster when alive. The skull is nearly 1.5 meters long and almost all of its long pointed teeth are preserved intact.
The small holes in Sue's teeth are easy to observe. Round holes have smooth edges, indicating that the jaw bone has healed itself after injury. Their existence is not fatal, although the cause of losses is based on two unpopular researchers' assumptions.
According to the first hypothesis, holes formed from the aggressive attack of another tyrant dinosaur. The second hypothesis is that Sue's births are infected with parasites while eating prey. The infection causes painful, broken abscesses from inside to outside the bone.

But fossil skull analysis with 3D scanners shows no hypothesis is appropriate. The gap between the holes is very unusual and cannot be explained by the usual bite. What makes scientists more confusing is that the holes are not in the right angle if left by another dinosaur's teeth.
3D scanning images also negate the hypothesis of parasitic infections. If Su becomes infected, the holes will appear from the inside of the teeth and spread out. In fact, the holes are gradually coming from outside.
In a report published on July 5 in the journal Plos One, researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology said more tests should be conducted to find the correct answer on the origin of the small holes. Sue's teeth.
