The woman could not smile

Having a rare illness that cannot be smiled since birth, the 33-year-old British woman refused to have surgery to find her smile because she did not want her to face the difference.

Becky Deas lives in Manchester, England, suffering from Moebius syndrome, causing her facial muscles to be paralyzed, unable to smile. She couldn't blink or look either side. This is a rare neurological disease, with a frequency of 1 / 500,000 people infected.

Being diagnosed with the disease at the age of 6 months when having trouble with bottle feeding, she became aware of her condition by the time she was 10 years old. At school, Becky was teased by friends and called by the nickname "fish face".

In 2007, Becky was pregnant with Logan's son. Luckily the boy is completely healthy. When Logan asked why he never smiled at him, Becky had to explain that the face didn't allow her to do it. Instead Becky used his voice and gesture to show his happiness to his son and 9-month-old daughter Lexi.

Doctors said Becky could perform surgery to find a smile but she refused.

Explaining this, Becky said: "I know who I am and I want my kids to accept the difference. I may not smile outside but I always smile inside. I'm sure the I know how they bring me happiness every day. I don't need a smile on my face to show it. "

"A smile really comes from the heart. Each of us is different in one way or another and there is nothing to be ashamed of. I don't want my children to think that being like others is necessary. They will accept the difference, " Becky stressed.
