The wreck was completed after 500 years on the Baltic Sea

Experts found an intact wreck about 39 km away from the Swedish coast during the Baltic Sea sweep. The underwater robotics expedition of international scientists, including the University of Southampton team, revealed the shape of the ship.
The ship dates from the late 15th or early 16th century.
The ship dates back to the end of the 15th or early 16th century and still has its mast, cannons and most of the sails. Researchers believe that the lack of oxygen in the deep sea below the ice prevented marine animals from destroying the wreck. On the deck of the ship, there is a very rare inflatable boat, which is used to transport the crew to shore. However, the name and origin of this Renaissance ship has not been determined. The team called it "Okänt Skepp" , meaning "anonymous ship" in Swedish.
Marine archaeologist Dr Rodrigo Pacheco-Ruiz said the ship was built under Christopher Columbus and Leonardo Da Vinci. He considered the ship to be longer than the Mars battleship exploded during the Battle of Öland in 1564 and Henry VIII's Mary Rose in 1510.
"This anonymous ship is the best preserved shipwreck of its time. We rarely see any ship in such an incredible condition," said University of Southampton spokesman.
