To re-examine this 'reason', the researchers selected 31 volunteers, aged 18 to 35 divided into two groups smoking waterpipe tobacco with cigarettes and smoking cigarettes (drugs). After each suction, measure the amount of nicotine and carbon monoxide in your blood, along with your heart rate, the number of times you swallow the smoke and the volume of smoke.

The authors found that smoking waterpipe smoking was higher in blood than carbonated cigarettes. The average amount of smoke ingestion of pipe smokers is 48 times higher than smoking and both types of smoking both bring nicotine into the blood.

This study has just been published in the American Journal of Jourrnal of Preventive Medicine (American Journal of Preventive Medicine).

Over the years, the type of cigarette smoking by Arabs (called hookah or shisha) has become more and more popular in the United States, as a 'trendy' hobby of young adults (from 18 to 25). and everyone believes in the rumor that this type of smoking is not harmful, or at least it is much safer than cigarettes.

GS.Thomas Eissenberg, Department of Psychology, University. Virginia said: 'This study is very important because it overcomes a rumor that many people believe smoking through a bowl of water-containing cigarettes is not toxic. It is with this unfounded belief that leads people to the habit of nicotine addiction and ultimately cardiovascular disease . '
