Transmission of audio and text files through the human body

Ericsson is developing a technology that allows the transfer of files and other data directly through the human body. Ericsson's Hans Westberg has performed music that runs from the phone through the body to the sound system and emits speakers.

At the CES Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year, leaders Ericsson held a smartphone while the other hand placed a sensor on the sound system. He played a song on the smartphone, and the music was played on the stereo. In this performance, all of the data was transmitted through Mr. Westberg's body.

This technology is called Connected Me . Among the applications of this technology, there is the interaction of humans with other people or with devices. For instance, CNET said that the transfer of data through the human body could allow two people to exchange electronic business cards by simply shaking hands. Or a person can "attach" some file and touch a printer to print it out ...

According to Ericsson Arun Biksheshvaran's marketing manager, in the future, we can use new innovations in other things like fingerprint scans. For example, after touching the scanner head and recognizing it, the user can transmit to the device the information needed from the memory chip worn on the body.

Note that the technology was introduced at both industry events CES and Mobile World Congress Ericsson but not impressed. According to the developers, people now can not fully evaluate the prospects of Connected Me technology. Although adopting this technology seems sluggish, Ericsson plans to start implementing it from next year.
