Pregnant women exposed to high levels of triclosan may be at risk. Triclosan can damage normal blood circulation in the uterus and cause oxygen deficiency in the fetal brain.

Through experiments on sheep, scientists discovered triclosan can perform an intervention on an enzyme.

Meanwhile, it is this enzyme that is very important for estrogen circulation in the uterus. Estrogen can cause arteries to open, thereby providing oxygen-containing blood to the placenta.

According to European Union regulations, health products at a safe level when the highest content of triclosan is 0.3% lower.
