True story like movie: Every morning waking up, the girl forgot all about what happened yesterday
It seemed like a fantasy story, but it turned out Lucy had a real syndrome. Recently, Fox8 has announced a case of the same person as Lucy. That's Caitlin Little , a 16-year-old girl, a high school student in North Carolina, USA.
In October 2017, Caitlin (14) encountered an accident at the top of her head while playing sports with her friends. There was no doubt that the accident caused her memory to be seriously damaged.

Caitlin then can't remember the date, which class was registered, or even how to open a new car from the family.Every morning when she wakes up, she forgets everything that happened the day before.
Parents then took Caitlin to a hospital in Greensboro (North Carolina, USA). Doctors after diagnosis believed her memory would recover a few weeks later. But 18 months passed, Caitlin still can't remember anything that happened more than 12 hours.
Doctors still can't find a solution. They diagnosed that she suffered "anterograde amnesia" - a disease that impedes her ability to form memories . A special feature of " forgetting" is that memories from before dementia are still intact - just like what she is experiencing.
According to Fox8, the hippocampus (the area responsible for the formation of memories in the brain) contains neurons that connect to the hippocampus in the cortex to store memories. However, when there is a strong tremor, the connection between these two areas may be vulnerable. This makes the ability to store memories unable to work, and thereby cause "forget later".
At the present time, the disease has no specific treatment options. The doctors said that the situation could only be improved by memory training exercises, or by saving the information by writing diaries .
Every morning waking up, she forgot to clean up what happened the day before
In Caitlin's case, her brain erased all memories that occurred later in the day when she went to bed, making her forget everything when she woke up. Every morning when she woke up, she believed that it was a day after the accident, though it had already been 18 months.
"Dear baby, I bumped my head while I was practicing, and lost the concept a little bit of time" - every morning Caitlin's father woke her up with such words.
Now, every day, Caitlin will have someone remind me which day of the week, that day's schedule. Throughout the house, there are pieces of memory cards prepared by her sister, Sarah Little, to help her safely pass the new day.
