Twins are different in skin color

Kaydon and Layton Wood are two 5-year-old twins. This is a very famous twins because of a white baby, and the other baby is colored.

Statistics show that in England every year, about 12,000 twins are born. The phenomenon of other color twins is very rare, occurs only once within a few years. But this phenomenon is on the rise, it will even be popular according to experts' predictions.

BBC has just shown the film about five families with rare twin births like Kaydon and Layton. According to Dr. Jim Wilson - geneticist, this is not difficult to understand. Whether it's a white couple or a pure black couple, the color difference of twins is no longer strange, as there is a deep genetic mix between Africans and Europeans.

Kaydon and Layton are the children of Kerry's sister, 32 years old, who is currently working in administration for the local government. Kerry is married to Paul (also 32) who is doing logistic analysis for NHS. Kerry said that when the two babies were born, the doctor had reported an abnormality that they initially thought was due to jaundice, but after six weeks it was clear that a blond, blue-eyed, and white-skinned child. Baby has black, curly and colored hair. Father Kerry is Nigerian, her mother is white and her husband is white.The racial blend explains the appearance of other skin-colored twins.

According to Dr. Jim Wilson, we now know about 20 types of genes that control skin color and eye color, depending on the ability to show or dive on the body. Everyone inherited a part of their DNA from their grandparents. Therefore, it may be a European with white skin but has typical African curly hair, whereas a colored person with blue eyes and hair is very similar to normal Europeans.

According to the Daily Mail , these different colored twins also had some unpleasant things, for example people thought that Layton was adopted in a family even though he was quite similar to Kaydon.
