RIA Novosti reported yesterday that the animal is a member of a herd of piglets consisting of 11 individuals on a farm in the Bryansk region of Russia. It has two heads, four eyes and two mouths. The local veterinary agency identified the animal as having two heads due to genetic modification.

"Two-headed pigs have appeared in many other countries. So this is not a new phenomenon," Bryansk Regional Veterinary Agency announced.

No one identified the cause of the mutation in the pig and it died a few days after its birth.

A two-headed pig was also born in a family in Fujian Province, China, Metro reported. Because there are two heads, the animal makes it difficult for the mother to give birth. So the owner must help the mother pig to survive. The strange pig has two faces, two mouths but only one eye.
