The two-headed blue shark fetus was discovered by Christopher Johnston.

Christopher Johnston, an offshore fisherman in the Indian Ocean, discovered a double-headed blue shark after slaughtering a pregnant shark on a boat off Australia.

However, Christopher Johnston only decided to share a photo of a double-headed blue shark fetus after scientists announced the discovery of a cow shark fetus off the coast of Mexico a few weeks ago. This is the first time a two-headed deformity has been detected in a cow shark.

New images are published in the recent National Geographic magazine.

Christopher Johnston sent a two-headed blue shark photo to National Geographic magazine. Unlike the previously announced two-headed bull sharks, the two heads on the fetus of blue sharks have completely separated.

Christopher Johnston said fishermen often slaughtered pregnant belly belly because they could only keep 20 blue sharks on the boat during a fishing trip, including the fetus. Each blue shark can conceive hundreds of baby sharks in the abdomen.

The phenomenon of two heads occurs quite popularly in many animals, including humans. This phenomenon occurs when the fetus is not fully separated during the double pregnancy.
