Tzfat - The weirdest and most mysterious place in the world

40 years ago, Daniel Flatauer went to Tzfat (Israel) a few days to visit, before going to Japan to search for paranormal things but he never left.

In many stages, Tzfat, the tall city above the Sea of Galilee, is the place to welcome guests from all over, still the most people from Tel Aviv to the resort and escape the scorching sun of summer. Therefore, this also naturally becomes a place to attract gamblers, flower girls and artists.

Through all the events of time, people still believe that Tzfat is "thin place" . The Celtic terminology implied that the city is a place of heavenly harmony - where heaven and earth are closest to each other, people feel relieved and relaxed. Many visitors, with that belief, still feel the sacredness difficult to express in words.

Journalist Eric Weiner told the BBC that every time he came to Tzfat, he felt an unexpected silence. Tzfat is not really paradise, but the atmosphere here is really light, elegant, not in a hurry."That's where I visited for a few days, but I felt like I lived a whole life. And even the cemetery here, people also feel sacred when welcoming the pilgrims every day to pray for the graves.

Daniel Flatauer, a remote traveler from England, has a hobby of exploring mysteries. 40 years ago on the way to Japan to learn the mysteries, Daniel visited here for a few days. But in the end, he never left. He said he found what he wanted at Tzfat.

Kabbalah , the mystical art of ancient Judaism, developed in Tzfat for centuries. When Spain expelled the Jews in 1492, some people came here to settle. One of them is the miraculous scholars of this famous sect. Tzfat is not a place where Kabbalah is born, but it is a place that helps it to flourish and grow, gaining vitality and being alive to this day.

The essence of Tzfat is traditional and eccentric parallel. People who live here do not feel burdened when they do not follow the standards of life. This is where they go, to escape the rigor of Orthodoxism in Jerusalem, or secularism in Tel Aviv.

Tzfat is also a destination that attracts many visitors. But there are no services for visitors around the city. There are only a few mediocre hotels and restaurants here. Unique or luxurious places are really few.

"Tzfat has its own charms, and where heaven and earth intersect as one, it needs to be embellished , " said one tourist.

The time most enjoyed by tourists in Tzfat is the Sabbath , a time known as the "sanctuary". Evening Six is marked by activities such as a storm before silence. Everyone was urgently and felt the pressure of the ceremony approaching. And then, a siren sounded to signal the beginning of the Sabbath ceremony, then everything went silent. The sound we hear now is just the sound of footsteps people are heading towards the cathedrals.

Tzfat (also known as Safed) is a city in northern Israel, located at an altitude of 900m. This is the largest city in Galilee, Israel. Thanks to its geographic location, Tzfat has humid and cold summers, snowy in winter.

Since the 16th century, it is considered one of the four holy cities of Judaism, along with Jerusalem, Hebron and Tiberias.

Due to its temperate and scenic climate, Safed is a popular tourist resort frequented by Israelis and foreign tourists.
