Unearthed a piece of gold carved a magic call to the devil in Serbia
Maybe it was just magic calling rain to water the plants but also, it opened a hell gate to summon demons, no one was sure of anything.
Archaeologists often dig up interesting and strange things of the ancients, what do they see today? A series of mantras is recorded in gold and silver scrolls , buried with the body of a person who died 2,000 years ago.
Gold pieces contain spells that call demons.
These mantras seem to be used to summon divine powers, it is unclear whether to use them for good or bad. Researchers are trying to translate all of these mantras and find out what their purpose is.
"These characters belong to the ancient Greek alphabet , the scrolls are written in the Romanian language, the language is still a mystery of the Middle East for us , " said research leader Miomir. Korac comes from the Archaeological Institute in Belgrade.
Scientists are conducting excavations.
"We read the names of some demonic species associated with modern-day Syrian territory," Ilija Dankovic, one of the additional archaeologists.
These mantras are found in a lead necklace, engraved on precious metal pieces along with some decorative symbols. Each piece of mantra is only as big as a piece of candy wrappers, but they are definitely of great value at the time.

This excavation area is close to the modern city of Kostolac, which is the settlement area of the inhabitants of the ancient Roman city Viminacium, between the 1st and 6th centuries AD. Researchers estimate that the bodies of these people and other mantras are buried around the 4th century AD.
Researchers have not yet analyzed all of the incantations or correctly identified their dates, so we still do not know the exact information engraved on these scrolls (or better yet ).
This is the first time archaeologists have found such things in Serbia, but not only here, the mantras have been found in many other places like the United Kingdom and Egypt. The difference is that such mantras used to be engraved on the stone slab or on the tomb of the deceased.
The close-up of the piece of gold was unearthed by archaeologists.
Such spells are often used to benefit the user or to curse the living person, but when the spell user dies, the spells are often buried by the user. The ancients hoped that those spells would lead the user to angels or demons, relying on the content of the spell used, forcing people to serve those forces.
"They often use the most love charms , but besides that also have dark magic, curses like" Your body will die, your flesh will be cold and heavy like this lead " , like that, " archaeologist Dankovic said.
In 2006, a carved stone monument was discovered in a tomb in Leicester, England, dating from the Second Century AD. The stele begs a god to punish a specific thief: "Urgently pray for Maglus, I offer to the criminal who stole Servandus's cloak, hoping he will destroy him before the ninth day." .
The bodies of these people and other mantras are buried around the 4th century AD.
Archaeologist Dankovic also said that many spells were buried with those who suffered a painful death, because the ancient people believed: "the souls of those people will be restless, with their magic they will be easy more easily find demons or gods and beg them more ".
It is still unclear how the Serbs are buried, so researchers are not sure what the purpose of the mantras buried with them is.
But it is not that there is no information from these excavations. All of them show how strong the faith of the Viminacium people at that time.
These discoveries are very important because they show that life at Viminacium is quite plentiful and the hopes they put into the mantras, how big the curse is, when they use precious metals to etch these things up like that.
Until now, archaeologists here have not found a spell carved into gold. According to the customs of the ancient Romans, they never took gold to the grave.

One more thing, these mantras invoke both Jesus and the anti-Jesus and this is quite strange. Perhaps the process of Christian conversion did not happen so quickly. We can conclude that this ancient Roman city was in the midst of the conversion of religion in the mid-IV century.
The archaeological team is still continuing to excavate in this area, and we still have to wait until they are done, the new mystery discoveries can be revealed.
I just hope that there will be no catastrophe when they decipher completely the ancient scrolls of ancient mantras.
