Use pigeons to measure air pollution levels

The city of London (UK) has just used pigeons to get data on air pollution here.

These 10 pigeons are called Pigeon Air Patrol groups, trained to fly around the capital of the fog country so that the sensors on their backs send data about air pollution to the Twittersphere system. . This idea was formed by DigitasLBi Marketing Company and won the Twitter award last year.

Sensors are designed by Paris-based Plume Labs, which can detect nitrogen dioxide and ozone. Thanks to the very light weight, when attaching to the net "jacket" on the pigeon's back, the sensor does not affect the bird's movement.

Of course, pigeons do not know to report data themselves. Instead, manufacturing engineers tweeted a location in London city to the @PigeonAir Twitter account. After that, they will immediately receive data informing them about the level of air pollution in that area. The bird's flight map is also shown on the Pigeon Air Patrol website.
