Very rare two-color lobster
An American fisherman caught a strange and rare two-color lobster.
New England marine park in Boston (USA) said the female lobster weighing about 0.5kg has half orange and half black. The two color areas are perfectly divided from the head to the tail.
Marine biologists say that this phenomenon of color separation is very rare, with a rate of 1/50 million lobsters. This happens when the cell is completely separated during fertilization. Most of the two-color lobsters are bisexual.
The two-color lobster was captured last week by a fisherman named Dana Duhaime in an area off Beverly in Massachusetts, USA.
Two-color lobster has been discovered in Maine, Rhode Island and Nova Scotia in the past 10 years.
