Video: Explosion and vibration when giant fireballs flash past Spain

A giant fireball "brighter than the Moon" soars across the Spanish sky at midnight at 73,000 km / h, possibly a part of an asteroid.

The fireball was first discovered by Spanish scientists at 2225 on 11/12 when crossing many southern provinces including Andalucia, Granada and Jaen, according to RT. Astrophysicist Jose Maria Madiedo of Huelva University thinks the object is part of an asteroid. "It must be relatively large in size to survive the journey through the Earth's atmosphere , " Madiedo said.

Witnesses said they heard a loud bang when the fireball appeared and felt a quake like an earthquake. According to the witness's description, the fireball is "brighter than the Moon".

Through preliminary reports and analysis of the phenomenon, scientists concluded that a fireball could fall as a meteor.

According to Professor Madiedo, the object was identified through Huelva University's highly sensitive camera network, installed at 10 stations in Andalusia and Castilla. Fireballs are also observed in astronomical stations in other areas.

On December 6, a meteor-like object exploded brightly in the sky of Siberia, causing the night view to glow as day.
