Video: Making a house under a rock

Benito Hernandez, in Mexico, lived for more than 30 years with his wife under a large rock in the Coahuila desert, 80 km from the US border. This is his dream home from a young age.

Benito Hernandez began to pay attention to the rock when he was only 8 years old. It has a diameter of 40m, currently used by his wife and husband as a roof to protect the rain and sun.

As a child, Mr. Benio was very interested in the rock, so he decided to choose it as a nest for the rest of his life. For 8-year-old children, dreaming of distant things is very normal, and those dreams will be forgotten over the years. But for Mr. Benito, it was not like that, the dream followed him until he grew up.

Benito's house is built of bricks and cement, windows and doors are made of wood available and it takes many years for the new house to be completed. Although the house lacks of energy equipment such as electricity and gas, but Benito's family used firewood to replace those kinds of energy. Water is also taken from the surrounding area.

In the summer, life is easier due to the availability of living resources, but it is difficult in the winter due to the snowy weather in the desert.'The winter here is very cold and we have to work hard to find food. We have to work hard to ensure life , 'said Benito.

Although living in such a remote place and having many difficulties in living, Mr. Benito and his family decided to stay there to support the seven grown children.
