How does climate change affect Vietnam?

Referring to the current status of climate change in Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Khac Hieu, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, said: 'Sea level tends to increase by 1 meter, losing about 12, 2% of the living area of ​​the people. Rainstorms and floods become more frequent and serious. Increasing temperatures and changes in rainfall rule seriously affect agriculture and water resources '.

'In addition, with a large number of residents, an increasing number of factories, a growing number of transport means, Vietnam is also facing the risk of growing environmental pollution,' Hieu said.

According to the report of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, with this pollution momentum, emissions into the atmosphere will increase by 2-3 times by 2020 compared to 1994.
