Vietnam signed animal protection cooperation with WSAP

On April 6, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Bui Ba Bong and Mr. Ian Dacre, Executive Director of Disaster Management in the Asia-Pacific region, representatives of the Protection Association World animals (WSAP) signed a memorandum of understanding between the two sides.

At the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister Bui Ba Bong emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two sides. At the same time, it is said that this is one of the new programs of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in cooperation with the World Animal Protection Association committed to implement from 2012 to 2016.

According to a memorandum of understanding, the cooperation contents mainly focused on: Financial support for key officials of the Department of Livestock Production to attend training courses; Organize training courses for veterinarians to enhance their ability to cope with livestock disasters; Implement necessary relief activities for livestock when natural disasters occur in Vietnam; Cooperate in implementing appropriate research projects such as discussion of disaster map development for livestock .

Also at the signing ceremony, Mr. Ian Dacre, Managing Director of Asia-Pacific Disaster Management said during the cooperation process, depending on the objectives and tasks of each year, the two sides will discuss discuss and agree on specific activities to manage disaster in Vietnam with high efficiency.
