Successfully produced a composite fuel rod for missiles

This is the product of research project at the Ministry of Defense, headed by Colonel Nguyen Huu Doan, Deputy Director of Institute of Explosive Drugs. Participants included: Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Nguyen Duc Long, Captain Nguyen Ngoc Hai, Captain Nguyen Van Hung.

Colonel Nguyen Huu Doan, Chairman of the project presented the test plan of mixed fuel.

According to Colonel Nguyen Huu Doan, solid rocket propellant is one of the high-tech products. At present, the number of countries that own the technology of solid-fuel mixture is not much.

In 2009, the Institute of Explosive Drugs launched the first successful trial of mixed fuel from imported materials on a small scale system designed by the researcher of the Institute. However, the product has not been fully tested in such categories as: thermal testing, thermal testing, complete testing ...

In this stage of research, the authors have improved the technology of manufacturing products, improved the production line capacity, tested the full features in the test items. It is especially important that the Institute has localized some of the supplies that can be guaranteed by domestic supply.

Successful research into solid propellant solids in the domestic market has significant scientific and practical implications, helping to master the design, fabrication and localization techniques of difficult, complex, Low-level air-to-air missiles , but also for other solid-fuel rockets in the future.
