Vietnamese netizens are about to 'use' Vietnamese MSN
'We have a great opportunity to join VIPWireless, VDC, VTV and Lao Dong newspaper to build and develop the world's leading digital services and content in Vietnam'. That is the remark of Mr. Grant Watts, Executive Director of Microsoft Online Services in Southeast Asia after the signing ceremony to bring MSN portal and Windows Live services into Vietnam.
Today, July 4, the signing ceremony of cooperation to build Microsoft's MSN portal and Windows Live online services to serve 'netizens' in Vietnam has officially taken place. Microsoft, VIPWireless, VDC, VTV and Lao Dong newspaper signed the cooperation agreement.
Under the cooperation agreement, Microsoft will expand, provide online services, as well as the Windows Live product line in Vietnam. Windows Live includes online service packages for online communities like: Instant messaging (Windows Live Messenger), Windows Live spaces, mail delivery (Windows Live mail) and search services (Live Search ).

VDC will provide network, infrastructure and technical support in this cooperation.
VIPWireless will be responsible for gathering content, connecting domestic and foreign partners to provide content for MSN portal. This unit will also be responsible for deploying business operations on MSN Vietnam portal. Executive Director of VIPWireless, Mr. Eric Nguyen shared: " Microsoft is a leading expert in building online services with the leading technology scale. We are very pleased to be your partner. They together with VDC, Lao Dong Newspaper and Vietnam Television to introduce MSN as well as Windows Live services to Vietnam market, we will also cooperate closely to provide suitable international and domestic content. Meanwhile, according to the agreement, VTV and Lao Dong newspaper play an extremely important role in providing strategic content for MSN Vietnam portal. VTV - Vietnam Television will be in charge of providing current news, weather and entertainment channels. Lao Dong Newspaper will accept responsibility for providing stock market and business information for this portal.
