Vietnam's military power is ranked 16th in the world by GFP

US non-governmental military website Global Firepower (GFP) has just released the 2017 ranking of military strength of 133 countries and territories around the world.

In this ranking, the top 10 countries with military strength are the United States, Russia, China, India, France, the United Kingdom, Japan, Turkey, Germany, and Egypt respectively.

Vietnam ranked 16th in the GFP list, on Brazil, Taiwan (China), Poland and Thailand in the top 20. Vietnam ranks right below South Korea, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Israel. Bhutan ranked last.

Military power of GFP countries and territories is classified based on the PwrIndx index, in which the ideal PwrIndx index is 0.0000. The lower the country, the lower the PwrIndx index, the higher the ranking on the rankings.

The ranking of GFP's global military strength index is not an official communication channel, but merely a reference.
