Visit Europe's leading solar power plant
Okhotnikovo solar park, located on the Crimea peninsula, southern Ukraine, is the largest solar power plant in central and eastern Europe, producing enough electricity to supply about 20,000 households.
Okhotnikovo solar power plant is 160 hectares and
including 560,000 solar panels.
The factory, with a capacity of 80 MW, completed phase 1
and 2 in July 2011 and 3 and 4 in October.
This is the largest solar power plant in central and eastern Europe, and
4th largest in the world after Sarnia (Canada) factories,
Montalto di Castro (Italia) and Finsterwalde (Germany).
The plant has begun to operate and provide enough electricity
for about 20,000 households in neighboring villages.
Okhotnikovo solar park is illuminated by the sun
all year round, ensuring a stable operation of the plant.
Okhotnikovo solar power plant is viewed
is Ukraine's leading green project.
Solar plants are completely safe and are
environmentally friendly electricity production method.
Solar panels are easy to install, operate,
safe, no noise and no environmental impact.
The operation of the Okhotnykovo plant will help reduce
80,000 tons of Ukraine's carbon emissions each year.
Ukraine has set a target to take alternative energy
30% of the country's energy market before 2015.
