Starting yesterday, February 13, the world's largest solar power plant in the United States has officially supplied electricity to its customers in California.
The solar power plant called Ivanpah, with the investment of energy companies NRG and BrighSource, along with the Google search giant, can provide 392 MW at maximum capacity.
According to NRG Energy, this capacity is sufficient to supply 140,000 California households with clean energy, reducing 400,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year, equivalent to the emissions of 72,000 cars per year.

The Ivanpah plant includes more than 300,000 solar panels spread over an area of nearly 13 square kilometers in California's Mojave Desert.
Solar panels will be controlled by software to focus the heated sunshine on top of three 137-meter high towers. The steam generated in these tanks will push turbines to produce energy.
Google invested US $ 168 million in the Ivanpah solar power plant project. Investing in green energy projects is not new to Google.
The search giant has invested in many solar and wind power projects, claiming that 34% of its business is focusing on renewable energy sources.
However, while companies are constantly praising clean energy sources in the world's largest solar power plant project, they themselves are the cause of other environmental problems.
Surveys show that many birds fly around the tower's cistern area, where temperatures can reach 260 degrees Celsius can be dead or hairless, according to The Wall Street newspaper. Journal.
