Vista SP1 has a second test version

Over the weekend, Microsoft released a new version of Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista. Just like last time, Microsoft provided a test version for a small group of testers.

This time, however, the Vista SP1 beta was leaked and posted to BitTorrent's peer-to-peer file-sharing network.

This Vista SP1 build 6.0.6001.16633 test is up to 684MB in size, but it is far from the first test version of Vista SP1 with a capacity of up to 3GB. After installing these updates, the operating system name was immediately changed to Windows Vista Service Pack 1.

The second beta version of Vista SP1 is released as a '.exe' file instead of the standard '.msu' format as usual. This shows that this version is still not ready to be widely released.

Odd-Magne Kristoffersen - a Microsoft software blogger - recently released the first images of the operating system after installing this Vista Service Pack 1 beta.

So far, Microsoft has been very "tight-lipped" about Vista Service Pack 1. Microsoft has recently officially announced that it has begun shipping beta versions of Vista SP1 to test and confirms that the final version will be available. debuted sometime in the end of this year.
