This is the result of a study conducted on nearly 16,000 babies in Bangladesh.

Doctors believe that vitamin A saves lives by reducing the severity of the diseases that predominantly cause deaths in Asia.

According to the study authors, if adding one dose of vitamin A to all Asian babies, it would help to avoid death for about 300,000 children.

According to them, vitamin A supplementation should be quickly implemented in Africa, where child mortality is still too great.
