Watching TV also makes climate change
Customers with conscience may regret having harmed the environment due to excessive travel. But they don't know that watching TV also releases carbon into the atmosphere.

CO2 is a byproduct of human burning fossil fuels such as coal and oil used in heating and movement, contributing to global warming.
The British Carbon Trust has compiled and shown the top leisure and leisure activities in 11 forms of consumption that cause climate change - namely, the release of CO2 into the atmosphere.
Traveling by car or leisure activities such as exercise, watching TV or live TV - all need to turn on the headlights - making up about a fifth of the UK's carbon emissions.
"It is necessary to let people realize that everything they do involves carbon emissions," said Euan Murray, strategic director at Carbon Trust.
The survey does not follow the usual way of measuring carbon emissions from manufacturing plants, heavy industries like steel, cars and aircraft. Researchers calculate emissions from services and products that people get such as food, clothing, heat and energy used in homes, hospitals, schools.
The Carbon Trust recommends that people do not necessarily sacrifice quality of life but can reduce indirect emissions from everyday activities such as turning off the TV instead of leaving it on standby.
The Carbon Trust also believes that two-thirds of consumers today are willing to buy items with less carbon footprint."Our research shows that in a world where customers are gods and carbon is a new currency, those companies that are at the forefront of producing low carbon products will earn big profits. " Tom Delay, CEO of Carbon Trust, said.
