Water turns out to be full of our galaxy, and so is life

But if we talk about water - one of the most important elements to nourish life, there is probably a lot in the universe. That's what Dr. Li Zeng from Harvard University presented at the Goldschmidt conference in Boston recently.
Even in our galaxy, water has a lot.
Specifically, Li Zeng thinks that in the universe, even in our own galaxy, there exist planets of the size of 2-4 times Earth. On these planets contain at least 50% water. For comparison, on Earth, water only accounts for 0.02% of the mass.
"I was really surprised to realize that there are many foreign planets there" - Zeng shared. "Our data shows that at least 35% of the planet is larger than the Earth outside the solar system - or exoplanet, there is water."
Specifically, Zeng's team used data from NASA's Kepler telescope and ESA's Gaia glasses. These are two names that have contributed to finding 4000 alien planets, most of which are 1.5 to 2.5 times larger than Earth.
The planet has about 10 times more mass than Earth, they are more likely to contain water, lots of water.
Based on a model that simulates the structure of planets, experts see a trend: five times more massive planets than Earth tend to be rock globes. But with planets 10 times more massive than Earth, they are more likely to contain water, lots of water.
However, there is a limitation. Most such planets - even if they contain water - are literally hot on the surface. They can carry temperatures ranging from 200 to 500 ° C, so the water will be in a slightly more form.
"Perhaps these planets are shaped like giant gas planets in the Solar System (Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus)."
In the near future, Li Zeng plans to use more data from TESS satellite to be launched by NASA. The satellite is equipped with many state-of-the-art equipment, which is expected to find another 20,000 extra planets, to complement and complete the model.
According to Li Zeng, this is an important study. We still know that where there is water, there is the possibility of survival. If you find a planet containing water, it is likely that it will be the foundation to find alien creatures.
Life can exist in the outer layers of water vapor.
"Life can exist in the outer layers of steam. That is the pressure and temperature areas become more suitable," Dr Li Zeng added. The problem now is only: is it too much water, does life exist.
