A waterspout is a phenomenon of strong winds swirling in a very small area, sucking from the ground onto a cumulonimbus cloud (thick water cloud), forming a moving funnel, looking like a hose. Most tornadoes form from storm clouds, especially electrically charged storm clouds. A thundercloud can last several hours, swirl in an area 10-16 km in diameter, move hundreds of kilometers, and produce countless giant spouts.
