White cheeked gibbon is rare and released to the forest
On the afternoon of March 7, two rare white cheeked gibbons were seized in Dai Hai Wood Trade and Technology Co., Ltd, handed over to Cu Chi Wildlife Rescue Center to take care to release. About natural forests, blood samples are sent to Hong Kong to test the species of white-cheeked gibbons for a care plan.
Previously, on March 2, Binh Duong Police Department of Public Security cooperated with the Forest Protection Department to unexpectedly check Dai Hai Timber Trade and Technology Company Limited, led by Mr. Le Trung Hieu, 46 At the age of Tan Hoa hamlet, Tan Vinh Hiep commune, Tan Uyen district, the company has raised two rare white cheeked gibbons.
The authorities requested the presentation of documents, but Mr. Hieu failed to prove the origin of the two white cheeked gibbons.
Through his testimony, Mr. Hieu bought two semi-floating gibbons on the Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Street (Ho Chi Minh City) to feed them on the company's premises to make the scene.
According to Binh Duong Provincial FPD, two white cheeked gibbons have scientific names Nomascus (Hylobates) distributed in the North and North Central regions. This is a species of animal belonging to the group of 1B which is extremely rare, strictly forbidden to keep, hunt and buy illegally.
