Quickly bring chickens from Daihatsu car to the gathering place inside Cho Lon bus station

Despite being at risk of pandemic, Ho Chi Minh City has not prevented the illegal import of poultry without quarantine.

At the streets of the city gateway, the small poultry traders always easily pass the checkpoints, take the goods to the point of consumption almost publicly .

A gathering point

After three nights at the gate of An Suong, An Lac, Thu Duc, District 8, we spotted scooters carrying live eggs and poultry through the quarantine stations.

However, a source said that night chickens and chickens were 'old stories', live birds were transported horizontally in the middle of the day, peaking around 9-11 noon.

At 9:00 am October 28, according to National Highway 1, we rushed to the Western gateway. Just out of Ho Chi Minh City, a spontaneous chicken market is immediately located in My Yen commune, Ben Luc district, Long An province. When our car stopped, a girl was "alerting": "Journalist!". Seeing us casually sit in the shop in the market call a plate of duck salad, the girl just stops paying attention. This porridge shop is the "base" of the chicken and duck traders, who often come here to gather to eat and play cards while waiting for the car.

In fact, the market is an empty land. This is Long An duck chicken gathering place and some western provinces. Of course all chicken ducks have never been quarantined. At 9 am, about 100 people came to trade with thousands of chickens and ducks.

Follow the poultry trade

11:00 pm October 28, we followed a motorbike carrying a number plate of Ho Chi Minh City carrying three baskets of chickens and ducks on Highway 1A. Firstly, the car zoomed through An Lac animal quarantine station safely, arriving at Binh Chanh station when the car suddenly turned to Nguyen Van Linh street to 'dodge'. In the city, the motorbike runs to District 8, passing Nhi Thien Duong Bridge and stops in front of the small house on Nguyen Duy Street. The man riding a motorbike looked around and took all the ducks and chickens into the house . According to many neighbors, this is the point that specializes in slaughtering chickens and ducks.

More discreet, some traders bring chickens and ducks into the city by bus. Nearly 10g, 12-seat buses started to visit the market. Following a bus from Binh Chanh - Cho Lon, we found the car rushing through the An Lac focal animal quarantine station. Going to Hong Bang Street, near Pham Dinh Ho T-junction (District 6), the bus stopped, down two large bags of ducks that were shielded above quite well. Coming near Cho Lon bus station, the bus stopped again at Cay Mai park to get down. The owner of the shop holds two big chicken bags in a hurry and rushes to the motorbike to wait and then runs into a house in the chicken market of Tran Chanh Chieu.

At Cho Lon bus station, we caught buses, buses, and Daihatsu cars visiting the market when it was still full of ducks and chickens on the roof. The more discreet cars allow the chickens to be hidden in a sealed basket in the car with the passenger. In a corner of the bus station with dozens of chicken traders waiting for people to pick up the goods, they lazily told each other about the crossing trips.

According to the story, there are many stations from Tien Giang, but only at three stations, particularly An Lac and Binh Chanh stations, the vehicles go through. A handful of poultry merchants of the 'U30' age laughed and showed off their fights with us: ' If you want to bring chickens and ducks to the city, it will always be impossible. Run to Tan Buu Market and go to Buffer Market, then go to Le Minh Xuan Industrial Park Road and access Ba Hom Street. How can veterinary medicine know that way ?

In addition to the western gateway, many people in Tay Ninh gateway area said they still witnessed trucks carrying chickens and ducks to sell along the highway 22.
