Hanoi: eliminating the poultry trade in the inner city
Hanoi collects birds
According to the decision of Hanoi People's Committee, November 15 at all wholesale markets such as Long Bien market, Cau Giay market, slaughtering places have been removed. Small businesses also have no freedom to sell slaughtered poultry meat. However, in dry goods stores there is still a display of poultry eggs but completely absent.
While the ban was strictly enforced in the markets, the street for sale of ornamental birds has not been thoroughly implemented. Many families have responded to the ban by moving birds to suburban districts to send familiar people.
Ho Chi Minh City: slaughtering and destroying 80% of poultry
* Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thao - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Ho Chi Minh City - said that until November 15, the number of poultry in the City is more than 700,000, currently slaughtered and destroyed over 80%.
According to Mr. Thao, the problem of consuming and destroying poultry is still entangled in two districts of Binh Chanh and Cu Chi (nearly 80,000 children). Particularly, the policy to support these small-weight poultry herds has not been specified.
