Why are people afraid of the dark?
Do you have a habit of going to bed to keep the light on? Or often lose sleep due to obsession, fear by the night? Experts say dark fear is in human genetic code: our ancestors were afraid of the night, fearing being eaten by nocturnal carnivores. Another reason was Mr. Sigmund Freud (Austrian psychiatrist and psychologist) who explained that people's fear of darkness is related to fear of being separated from Mother or worrying when she is absent.
But is darkness really scary? Or is it still beneficial for people? In this infographic, we will learn about human fear of darkness as well as the cause of and how to overcome that fear.
