Experts from the University of North Carolina have figured out why people often have to see a doctor because they get into their ears.

"Cockroaches like warm and humid places, it's our ear canal , " said insect researcher Coby Schal.

According to him, the smell of enticing insects is similar to the scent of yeast or the smell of bread and beer. The problem is when the cockroach gets into the human ear, it is a rule that it gets stuck and can't escape itself. Sometimes cockroaches can live there all week without food and water - as happened to Cathy Holly, who spent 9 days with a cockroach in her ears.

It is not uncommon to sneak into your ears or nose.

Coby Schal, an insect researcher, said that most people instinctively try to remove the object from the ear canal and thus kill the cockroach. This is very dangerous: first, when you die, the cockroach can cause a puncture of the eardrum. Secondly, inside cockroaches there are millions of bacteria that can lead to serious infections.

On the advice of doctors, when feeling a foreign object in the ear canal, what to do is immediately call an emergency.

It is not uncommon to sneak into your ears or nose. Not long ago, doctors in Chennai in southern India had to perform a surgery to remove the cockroach from the head of a woman, then they revealed that the insects were still alive.

The 42-year-old woman wakes up in the middle of the night because of the "itchy feeling" in her nose. Later, she found it difficult to breathe, and needed help from the local hospital. Doctors must check up for the fourth time to determine the cause. The expert finally found the cockroach in the woman's head.

According to health workers, the cockroach has infiltrated the patient's nose, it lives in the nasal cavity, very close to the central brain area. The surgery took about 45 minutes.
