Have you ever tried to think about why you act like such a habit - screaming loudly when you're scared?

Fear is really a terrible thing. But many of us have a normal reaction to screaming loudly when scared. But why is that so?

Is the eye reaction widening, screaming to drop the jaw, face distorted . making us less afraid?

In fact, according to experts, creating a frightened face is purely intentional. Even if there is nothing scary, simply making a frightened face will make us more alert.

Eyes open larger, move faster . will allow us to have a wide view, thereby easily detecting imminent danger.

At the same time, breathing is faster, the sense of smell is temporarily limited.

According to psychologist William James, making a face of fear or other emotion can affect your emotions. Just like smiling makes you feel happy, the fearful expression will push the guard, be ready to fight-or-die up high right away.

Although fearful expressions have a common pattern, but not all of our faces have this kind of muscle movement to express this emotion equally.

The theory shouted like a sound defense system.

Laughing muscle is a muscle that controls the expression of extreme fear and often lies on the sides of the mouth. This muscle only appears in about two-thirds of the population, and even has a different size between one person and another.

Some people owned this on both sides of the face, but there were also people on one side only. Lack of muscle or length of muscle will affect the way you show fear on your face.

What about the screams? In theory, it is like a sound defense system.

It's like a car's big alarm system or a child's cry - sounds that can't be ignored.

Studies show that screams are more unusual, chaotic or informative, wishing more people share their fears. Shouting loudly, it is more difficult for others to ignore that announcement.

Perhaps this is why we like horror movies, especially victims, screaming more and more!
