Wireless connection is faster and more powerful

Statistics from Broadcom experts show that in the UK and the US, there are more than 22% of households connected to wireless internet via wifi and each household uses no less than 6 devices. Therefore, the current way of connecting to wifi is slow, does not meet the requirements of real-time gaming, watching movies, exploiting online multimedia .

Broadcom confirmed that it will serve a faster, more robust Wi-Fi service, unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in early 2012 and widely deployed at the end of the year.

The new version of WiFi with 802.11ac number serves households at the same time using multiple devices connected to the network, besides the scope of the wave provision is also doubled compared to the present.

In theory, the speed of the new wifi will be up to 1.3 Gbps, downloading the entire data equivalent to the DVD capacity in seconds. High speed makes downloading a music file almost instantaneous and experimenting with Streaming video without any problems. According to Rahul Patel, Broadcom's vice president of wireless division, with 5 GHz, users can choose up to 20 channels to use without worrying about network congestion.

According to the Daily Mail newspaper, until now the new WiFi standard of Broadcom has not been approved by the International WiFi Alliance. Broadcom expects approval to be achieved in 2012 so they can deploy 802.11ac at the end of the year, officially serving high-speed wireless internet users.
