Women are difficult to advance because they are afraid to promote themselves

In most businesses in the world, female bosses account for a small proportion of the management structure. However, women should blame themselves for not breaking this monopoly of the men.

Dr. Shannon Goodson, president of a company that publishes behavioral psychology publications called Behavioral Sciences Research Press, conducts information on women's behavior in the workplace of about 11,500 women and 16,700 men of working age in 34 countries.

Initial analysis shows that women in the UK, the US and China are confident in promoting themselves by talking about their successes, while women in New Zealand and Sweden think it is because they do it. Tarnish the image of women.

According to Shannon, women do not create an invisible barrier to limit their ability to advance, but they accidentally maintain it. The ability to attract the attention of others to the contributions and achievements in work is becoming an important part of modern management art, but most women cannot or do not want to do it as their male colleagues.

"They think that just working hard is enough to help them get higher salaries and positions. Excellent job performance is important though, but it is not talking yourself. You have to say help it," Shannon explain.

In contrast, men are always excited when promoting themselves. They are even willing to lie for promotion or admiration. After lying, men rarely feel anxious or embarrassed.

The results also show that women in high power tend to hinder or undermine the advancement opportunities of women under authority.

Many female employees admit they prefer to work under the boss of a male boss. According to them, the male boss has a more consistent and fair mindset than the female boss. In addition, they think that men tend to encourage and support more female employees.

"In general, women still appear shy and passive in promoting their personal image and that makes them always behind men in the process of dominating the management ladder. Shannon said , they were close to the situation .
