Women find it difficult to conceive if they do night shifts
Working regularly at night is one of the factors that puts women at risk of reproductive problems.
Some previous studies have shown that night shifts make people sleepless and disrupt the biological clock. However, very few researchers consider the effect of night shifts on fertility.

Dr. Linden Stocker, a University of Southampton researcher in the UK, and colleagues analyzed the data of 119,345 women. These women have been the subject of many studies since 1969. The aim of the experts is to understand the link between the frequency of night work and the fertility of women, Telegraph reported.
The team found that women who had multiple pregnancies in multiple shifts (day and night) were 80% more likely to be unable to conceive during the day, compared to women who only worked during the day. The risk of their menstrual disorders is also 33% higher.
For women who only work at night, their miscarriage is 29% higher than those who only work during the day.
"We don't know why night shifts cause reproductive problems. But the biological clock disturbance can affect many biological functions, " Stocker said.
Changes in working hours can also cause social or psychological impacts.
"Our findings have implications for women who want to conceive and business owners , " Stocker commented.
